Enterprise single sign-on

One company login for JobTek

With JobTek Professional, your team signs in through the identity provider you already use, so your IT team stays in control of who has access.

What is single sign-on?

Single sign-on, usually shortened to SSO, lets people use one company account to sign in to all the business apps they use. Instead of a separate password for every app, staff sign in once with their work account, and each app trusts that sign-in.

The company account lives in what's called an identity provider: the system your business uses to manage staff logins, such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta or Google Workspace. When someone signs in to JobTek, they're sent to your identity provider, which checks who they are and tells JobTek they're cleared to come in.

It's like a staff pass for a building. Reception doesn't issue its own pass; it trusts the one your company gave you. And when someone leaves, cancelling one pass locks every door.

What it means for your business

One password to remember

Staff use the work account they already have, so there are no extra passwords to forget or write down.

Your rules apply

Your own password rules, multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies apply to JobTek automatically.

Control in one place

Your IT team manages access to JobTek alongside every other business app.

Leavers locked out

Disable someone in your identity provider and they can no longer sign in to JobTek.

The terms explained

SSO

Single sign-on. One company login for every business app.

Identity provider

The system that manages your staff accounts and checks who they are when they sign in, sometimes called an IdP. Examples include Microsoft Entra ID, Okta and Google Workspace.

MFA

Multi-factor authentication. Asking for more than one kind of proof, such as a password and a phone prompt. With SSO, your provider's MFA protects JobTek too.

Conditional access

Rules in your identity provider that decide when and where people can sign in, for example only from company devices.

OpenID Connect and SAML

The two open standards identity providers use to tell apps like JobTek who has signed in. JobTek supports both.

About OpenID Connect

SCIM

The open standard that lets your identity provider add and remove JobTek users automatically.

About SCIM

Connecting your identity provider

  1. 1Connect

In company settings, choose OpenID Connect or SAML 2.0 and enter your provider's details.

  2. 2Match

Add your company's email domains, so staff are sent to your sign-in page automatically.

  3. 3Test

Sign in through your provider to check everything works.

  4. 4Enforce

Require company sign-in, and everyone signs in through your provider from then on.

Starters and leavers, handled centrally

Turn on account creation at first sign-in and new staff get a JobTek account the first time they sign in through your provider. Add SCIM and your provider removes leavers automatically, so access always matches your staff list.
