Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
About this document
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to the JobTek Services described in the Terms & Conditions. It protects customers, their contacts, third-party providers and the availability and security of JobTek. A breach may lead to restriction, suspension or termination.
1. General standard
Use JobTek lawfully, responsibly and only for legitimate business purposes. You are responsible for content, messages, files, instructions and connection activity carried out by you or your team, or through credentials and access tokens you control.
2. Prohibited activity
- Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, harassing or exploitative activity.
- Unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, purchased contact lists or communications sent without a lawful basis or required marketing choice.
- Malware, credential theft, unauthorised access, security probing, denial of service or interference with another user's data or service.
- Infringing intellectual-property, confidentiality, privacy or data-protection rights.
- Circumventing plan, user, storage, rate, billing, permission or security controls; scraping; or high-volume automation that degrades service.
- Reselling or providing access to the JobTek Services without written permission.
3. Customer communications and forms
JobTek email, Meta channels, customer portals and web forms are for genuine service and enquiry communications. You must identify your business appropriately, honour opt-outs where required, maintain accurate sender details and avoid misleading, abusive or excessive messages. JobTek may limit sending after high bounce, complaint or abuse rates.
4. Integrations and external data
Only link accounts and services you are authorised to manage. Do not use payment, accounting, Meta, Google Maps, DVLA or other integrations to obtain, disclose or alter information without permission. Follow the provider's terms and do not attempt to bypass its access, messaging, rate or use restrictions.
5. JI Assist
Do not use JI Assist to make unlawful, discriminatory or solely automated decisions about people. Submit only information you are entitled to process, avoid unnecessary sensitive data, review every output and confirm any proposed action before use. Check important output with a suitably qualified person before relying on it for professional, legal, financial, safety or technical matters.
6. Security responsibilities
- Use strong, unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where offered.
- Assign least-privilege permissions and remove access promptly when roles change.
- Protect downloaded or exported data and integration tokens.
- Report suspected compromise to security@jobtek.com without delay.
7. Retention and account closure
Use JobTek's export functions for business records you need outside the service. Customer data is retained and returned or deleted under the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum. Closing an account does not remove your responsibility to retain records required by tax, employment, safety or other law.
8. Investigation and enforcement
If JobTek investigates suspected misuse, it may review the records reasonably needed to understand the issue, protect the service or others, enforce these terms or comply with law. JobTek may also restrict activity, preserve evidence, report suspected criminal activity or respond to lawful requests.
9. Reporting misuse
Report suspected abuse to abuse@jobtek.com and security concerns to security@jobtek.com. Include enough information to identify the affected account, communication or event without sending unnecessary personal data.
10. Changes and contact
JobTek may update this policy and will highlight material changes where appropriate.
