Google, Microsoft and Apple sign-in

Sign in with the account you already trust

Your team can sign in to JobTek with their Google, Microsoft or Apple account, protected by the security those accounts already have.

How it works

Instead of creating yet another password, people choose Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Apple. It's the same button you'll have seen on thousands of websites and apps.

Think of it like showing a passport at a hotel. The hotel doesn't need to know everything about you; it trusts the passport office that issued it. Here, JobTek is the hotel and Google, Microsoft or Apple is the passport office. They check who you are on their own sign-in page, then hand JobTek a digitally signed confirmation. JobTek checks that signature and lets you in. Your Google, Microsoft or Apple password is never shared with JobTek.

A sign-in, step by step

  1. 1Choose your account

Tap Continue with Google, Microsoft or Apple on the JobTek sign-in page.

  2. 2Sign in with them

You're taken to their own sign-in page, where any two-step verification or alerts you've set up on that account apply as normal.

  3. 3A signed confirmation

They send JobTek a short, digitally signed message confirming who you are, tied to that one sign-in so it can't be copied and reused.

  4. 4You're in

JobTek checks the signature and signs you straight in.

Why it keeps your account safer

One less password

Fewer passwords means fewer to forget, reuse or have stolen.

Your provider's protection

Any two-step verification or alerts on the Google, Microsoft or Apple account protect JobTek too.

Password-free accounts

People can switch off password sign-in entirely and use only their linked account or a passkey.

Unlink any time

Remove a linked account whenever you like, and other sessions are signed out straight away.

The terms explained

OpenID Connect

The open standard Google, Microsoft and Apple use to confirm who someone is to another app. It's often shortened to OIDC, and it's what runs behind every Continue with button.

OAuth 2.0

Short for Open Authorization. It's the widely used standard OpenID Connect is built on, designed so apps can work together without ever sharing passwords.

ID token

The digitally signed confirmation your account provider sends to JobTek, saying who you are and when you signed in.

Linked account

A Google, Microsoft or Apple account connected to your JobTek login. You can link more than one and unlink them from your account settings.
